Lancaster City Youth was established in 1988

Our aim is to provide an opportunity to local footballers of all ages to develop and play.
The club has undergone various transformations with new teams, new committee members, new structures and new playing venues.

The Teams

Our History

In the spring of 2015 a number of committee members wished to form closer links with Lancaster City Football Club and indeed, formed a partnership with the club to integrate the youth football teams into the senior system.

At that point, those managers that were not party to the discussions were informed that a new clubs was to be established “Lancaster City Juniors” and that those teams currently playing under the Lancaster City Youth banner could no longer use the badge or any facilities.

The existing managers met to discuss a way forward and, to ensure the players from the 5 teams could continue to play football, decided to carry on and form a new club. To ensure the history of the club was continued, the name was retained but the badge and club colours were changed – purple was the future!

Since then, the club has gone from strength to strength, securing excellent playing facilities at Lancaster Cricket club and achieving success both on and off the pitch.
Recognition for all the hard work from the committee and managers came with the recent announcement that the club has achieved FA Charter Standard.
